January 17th is one of the most under-appreciated, wonderful, rich, and fulfilling days of the year filled with more purpose and meaning than any other day in human history as far as I know.
It’s my birthday.
It’s also going to be the day when Daylight Hours will be 100% FREE to download from Amazon.com for your Kindle and Kindle Apps. I know, I’m an attention whore. What can you do?
So, what does this mean? Well, starting at roughly midnight on one of the most spectacular days in human history, you will be able to download Daylight Hours for free. I know, it’s pretty crazy. This was my first novel and Kris Grant is a very unique character in a very stale genre. If you love urban fantasy, vampire novels, or action and adventure with a little paranormal fantasy, then you’ll love Daylight Hours. Is it better than True Blood (every season after season 1)? If you’re a fan, give my book a chance and tell me yourself.
January 17th will not only be me celebrating the birth of myself, but I will also be blowing up the internet with posts and links and more posts and links promoting the book on the one day that it will be completely free to read. There’s no reason not to download the book to your phone or any device you have with Kindle on it because, well, when is anything in this world free?
I want to thank everyone in advance already for any and all support. As an indie author, it’s rough trying to break into the scene of being a “published author”. I’m gonna give it my all and hopefully enough people download and read the first novel in the Kris Grant Series.
I’ve just finished editing the 3rd Draft of the second novel in The Kris Grant Series. It’s been a long process, but I’m trying to craft a novel that I can be proud of that makes up for any weaknesses that the first novel might have had. I appreciate all of my readers who have been patiently waiting to read the sequel. You won’t be disappointed. Kris Grant is back and more sarcastic and murderous than ever.
While you’re waiting for the sequel, take some time and jump back into the character of Kris Grant. Daylight Hours is online for FREE here. The first 10 Chapters are up already. New Chapters are posted every Monday and Wednesday morning, so spread the word. Also, if you haven’t read them already, check out my two Short Stories that I’ve posted here.
Another little fun fact for all of my readers: An official title and plot summary for the sequel will be released in the coming weeks as well as an official release date. Hope you enjoy.
You heard it. I’m putting my debut novel, Daylight Hours online for FREE right here!
Every Monday and Wednesday morning I will be posting one chapter of the novel. I’ll be doing this until the very end of the book so that everyone can get a chance to read it without having to spend a dime. As a starting bonus, I posted the first two chapters this morning.
Daylight Hours is the first book in The Kris Grant Series, introducing Kris Grant a young Vampire and Territory Master of South Florida’s supernatural underworld. Vampires are mortal during the day and almost extinct. You’d think that would be enough to make Kris play it safe and stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, trouble has a way of finding Kris whether he’s looking for it or not. Kris Grant isn’t dark and brooding or conflicted with philosophies of immortality, he’s a real guy trying to fight through all the bullshit of the world so that he can enjoy his “permanent retirement” in sunny South Florida. With the help of his business partner, a Werebear with a drinking problem, Kris just might be able to pull it off and survive the daylight hours a little longer.
I am currently working hard on the next book in this series and now that I’ve graduated from FAU, I have more time than ever to make a better novel. I hope that everyone who reads these free chapters enjoys the novel and Kris Grant. I self-published this novel in an attempt to breathe new life into the Vampire and paranormal genre and I hope it’s as much to read as it was to write.
If you would like to support me as an indie author and purchase Daylight Hours, it is still available on both the Nook and Kindle for only 99¢ as well as online in paperback form for $11.00.
I recently took one of my dry-erase boards and set out a list of goals for myself and then deadlines for them all.
It’s hard to self-publish a book, let alone a series. I’m working hard on the sequel to Daylight Hours, but finding the time to promote the first as well write and edit is time-consuming beyond belief.
Giving myself deadlines to reach my goals has really helped put things in perspective and help me to focus more on specific tasks. I’ve got a lot of things planned and some big announcements coming soon in regards to Daylight Hours as well as its sequel.
Wish me luck, and good luck to all you other writers out there working hard to accomplish whatever goals you set for yourself.
