Well, it’s been a week since I put up Daylight Hours on Amazon. I’ve had so much support from everyone that that in itself makes the whole process worth it.
I’ve sold more than one book. That’s more than I thought I ever would. I’m continuing to try and spread the word. I started a Twitter account (check out my Contact page). Hopefully I’ll keep the shameless self-promoting down to a minimum. Just one tweet every hour about my book isn’t too bad, right?
I’ve been writing like crazy and I’m at the halfway mark for the second book in the Daylight Hours Series. It’s definitely fun writing a sequel. Kris and the world he lives in is established so nothing’s stopping me from cutting loose this time around.
I’ll be posting a new short story on the book’s website within the next couple of days. It takes place outside of the first novel but within the universe. Don’t worry, I’ll shamelessly promote that as well when the time comes.
So that’s how my first week’s been as a self-published author. This won’t be a weekly event, the whole me typing about the week I’ve had, thing. I just want to thank everyone for the support and all of the motivation. I’m continuing to move forward and stay busy. This is the kind of work that doesn’t feel like work to me.
That’s a good sign, right?
