I want to start off by thanking my employers at Whole Foods Market, Coral Springs for giving me the opportunity to set up a book-signing table during the Relay For Life Book Drive that’s running from April 21 to April 22. Very few companies care about their employers enough to support them in their dreams and I’m lucky to work with such a supportive group of individuals. Just having the opportunity was enough and I’m grateful for everything.
I also want to thank everyone who bought a signed copy of my book. I brought 20 paperback copies of “Daylight Hours” to the store and sold out within a couple of hours. It was pretty stunning and taught me not to doubt myself so much and to order more books next time.
All of the proceeds from my book signing went to Relay For Life to help the fight against cancer. It was nice to know that I was getting more copies of my book out there to the world, but also giving back to the community for a great cause. As a young, local author, it was an invaluable learning experience to do a signing like this. It was also motivating to hear so many positive people who wished me the best of luck in my future as a writer.
Everyone, thank you again for your support, and don’t forget to review “Daylight Hours” on Amazon.com once you’ve finished reading.
Also, the store’s Book Drive is still up and running today from 11-7 at Coral Springs Whole Foods Market. It’s the last day! It’s $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcovers. Those prices are hard to beat and all of the proceeds go to Relay For Life. Check it out.
