How I Sold 3,000 Copies Of My Book On Kindle…

…I have no idea…

I’ve had over 3,300 customers download my novels for Kindle so far this year. That’s roughly 3,299 more than I was expecting and that’s because I had to buy a copy to test it out.

I had a lot of fun writing Daylight Hours and Moonlit Miles and even though I’m taking a break from Kris Grant for a while to write some other stories, it was a nice surprise to look at my monthly reports and tally up how many I’ve managed to sell so far from Kindle.

Of course, no matter how grateful I am to everyone/anyone who even takes the time to read the synopsis of either book — let alone the entire thing — what really makes me feel like I should hold off on planning that assisted suicide is reviews.

So I implore you all: Any one of the 3,000 people out there who have downloaded my books and read them, please review them on Amazon.com and let me and the rest of the world know what you think. Hate it or love it, I can only grow as an author with feedback from my audience. (Oh, and the other 299 of you out there, I didn’t forget about you, I’m just pretty sure you’re my mom, so I’m not even gonna bother asking you to review anything)

I thank everyone in advance who helps me out with reviewing the books if you’ve read them.

Side note: I’m in the business of working on an exciting new novel that has nothing to do with vampires and everything to do with amazing. I’ll keep you informed.

Be Creative! Be, Be Creative!

I still wish I had a quill and ink.

There’s nothing like starting a new project. I’ve worked on The Kris Grant Series for so long now, that it feels great working on something new.

With Daylight Hours and Moonlit Miles out for people to read, I figured it was time to step back for a while and try something else. I love writing third-person and having total freedom with the direction of the story. The Kris Grant Series was my first attempt at a first-person story-telling on such a big scale, and while I love the character of Kris Grant, it’s refreshing to have different perspectives.

This new project I’m working on is really getting my creative processes flowing again. It’s always a good sign when you’re passionate about what you’re working on. The hard part isn’t coming up with a great story, it’s getting it all down on paper.

To all my fellow writers out there, if you sit down and write for three hours and it feels like ten minutes, you’ve tapped into something special. It’s an amazing feeling and I hope I never lose that little piece of real-life magic.

On a side note — and a very important one at that — I want to thank everyone for their support with the release of Moonlit Miles. It was a long process to get that sequel made and I hope that everyone who has downloaded it or Daylight Hours, enjoys them both.

Kris Grant is the type of character that is almost effortless for me to write. That sounds like a good thing, but right now in my life, I want to push myself and hone my craft and experiment a little. The Kris Grant Series has only just begun with the first two novels in the series. I have the first 5 novels mapped out. I promise that I will return to that universe when the time is right. Who knows? Maybe I’ll even throw a few short stories out there for fans in the meantime. That universe has limitless possibilities for stories and not all of them have to revolve around Kris Grant; even though he would probably disagree.

Thank you, everyone.

Now, back to the dungeon.

FREE Book Release: One Day Sale!

After much anticipation, Moonlit Miles is here!

Kris Grant is back.

This action-packed sequel brings us back into the mind of Kris Grant, an inexperienced Vampire running the South Florida Territory with his business partner, Jack Weaver who just so happens to be a Werebear.

To celebrate the release of Moonlit Miles, the second book in The Kris Grant Series, I’m having a huge promotional sale.

On Sunday, April 7, 2013 you will be able to buy both Daylight Hours AND Moonlit Miles for FREE!

That’s right, both books in The Kris Grant Series will be absolutely, 100% FREE for Kindle on Amazon.com. All you have to do is check them out this Sunday morning (TOMORROW) and download and gift to your heart’s content.

I want to thank everyone for their support in helping me get this novel out there. If you’re a fan of the first book, or Kris Grant, then I hope you enjoy the sequel.

If you haven’t gotten around to reading Daylight Hours and entering this exciting universe where the paranormal and mankind live intertwined, then…well, get on that. You’re missing out. Then again, my opinion’s a little biased.

Amazing News!

Remember that sequel I was writing for my first book? You know, the one I’ve spent countless hours editing and proofreading and struggling to proofread and edit some more all while finishing college, wandering around the world with no sense of direction after graduating from college, and then finally realizing that I need to focus and get this second book out there? Yeah…that book.

Well, it’s coming.

Sure, being Territory Master has its perks: money, power, responsibility…money. It’s not an easy job, but Kris Grant’s been playing the part and keeping the murdering and massacres down to an all-time low. So, why isn’t he getting the respect he deserves?

In the action-packed sequel to Daylight Hours, we find the inexperienced and sarcastic Vampire, Kris Grant struggling to control his territory. He’s never taken his role seriously and the consequences arise when two rogue Vampires come to town threatening everything Kris has built over the years. Now, with the aid of an unlikely team, Kris must battle his own ego and begin a dangerous hunt that will push him to his physical and emotional limits.

Friendships are tested, old enemies emerge, and new ones surface as Kris learns what it really means to be Territory Master.
